It is incredible to me that we received our first shipment from VISION two and a half years ago. Several hundred thousand windows later, I've yet to reject my first foot of material. Bravo! I know Vic will remember back about thirty years ago when he and I were in Placencia, Italy touring a vinyl extrusion and window manufacturing operation. The owner was so proud of his quality. My Italian was negligent at that time and Vic was telling the owner how tough I was on quality and that I thought his profiles weren't so good. I couldn't figure out why the owner was looking at me with contempt until Vic translated his conversation which ended with his all too familiar chuckle.

Everyone at VISION has done such a remarkable job for Vytex and we are very grateful. Designing new products is a pleasure. Die turnaround time is unmatched by anyone in the industry. «In 2017, Centra completed its transition over to Vision Profile Extrusions. This was a very difficult and important decision for Centra as we are driven by an internal philosophy of creating partnerships. As difficult as the decision was, Vision has exceeded our expectations of our Extrusions partnership. During this process some of the items that stood out for Centra:

• Vision teams are very entrepreneurial. This culture translates right to the shop floor and was proven over and over again in our experiences working together. If you need answers or have an issue, resolutions are put forward how to solve quickly and efficiently without any unneeded bureaucracy or delays.
• Customer first attitude. We definitely feel that we come first and that they are really an extension of our own Centra team. They utilize a very efficient forecasting system that utilizes a floor storage monitoring system linked to a next extrusion run required program.
• Dedicated service teams. Vision has been there to support Centra and provide whatever technical expertise we need at any time. From design performance, to Quality, to shop floor recommendations, to business support, Vision has professional get things done staff that we have been able to count on when needed.
• Transition plan Execution. Changing extruders is very tough on us manufacturers and our teams. Vision worked with all of our staff to create a plan with deliverables that focused on communication of where the project was at all times. With both partners committed to open communication, transparency of issues, and some open minds we were able to, not only change extruders, but improve on many of the designs at the same time during the process.

We consider the decision to change partners to Vision to be a very successful and critical decision for Centra for all the reasons above. We went from having an extrusion supplier, to now having an extrusion partner. The intangible I did not anticipate was the difference in culture that is throughout the Vision organization. They are entrepreneurs themselves and understand and respect what us window and door entrepreneurs face every day.

Making the switch to Vision Profiles as our vinyl supplier was a pivotal point in saving our business. During the Covid shutdown, our previous supplier laid off a massive number of employees. When construction opened back up in our state, business was booming. That’s when we really started to struggle. Our old supplier could not fulfill orders as they could not get people to come back to work. We were not able to manufacture due to missing key components. We suffered a lot during this period.
