PVC profiles, is a highly versatile material with excellent insulating properties. Some vinyl window manufacturers offer surface treatments such as laminates and coatings. But there are now more advanced solutions, such as an on-line extrusion process co-extruded with an acrylic compound specially formulated for optimum performance. This co-extruded product improves durability and color fastness.

In terms of thermal performance, vinyl frames are highly efficient, thanks to hollow chambers inside the frame that reduce convective heat exchange, and allow the addition of insulating material.
